New CNC Lathes and Valve Body Machining Cell
A.H. Garner have recently purchased two new Hwacheon CNC lathes. Based on the impressive performance of our first Hwacheon machine, the heavy-duty Hi-Tech 300MC, we have opted to install two machines of a similar type – the Hi-Tech 200BMC. These machines, while smaller in size, retain the superb capabilities that made Hwacheon a hit with A.H. Garner.

With their live tooling enabling multiple drilling and milling operations to be carried out in a single hit, these new arrivals have extended our live tooling capability and increased our machined parts capacity, making our machined parts workshop quicker and more efficient.

In addition, we have introduced a complete new cell for the dedicated machining of valve bodies. The cell is centred around a Dah Lih MCV-720 vertical machining centre which has been equipped with a fourth axis, giving us our first ever 4-axis machine. A Microloc cube workholding system is also installed on this axis which allows the machine to hold multiple workpieces, improving productivity and stability. This cell, with its enhanced capability and dedicated function, will improve efficiency and lead times.
